Update on Objective Assessment of Infants and Children

Prof. Linda Hood
Professor and Hearing Scientist in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences, Director of the Auditory Physiology Laboratory and Associate Director for Research at the National Center for Childhood Deafness and Family Communication, Vanderbilt University, USA

This presentation will consider accurate prediction of hearing sensitivity in infants and children using auditory brainstem response (ABR) and auditory steady state response (ASSR) in infants and children. Test protocols will be discussed to maximize accuracy and sensitivity of threshold prediction. Research studies are included to report new data in premature infants and new methods to improve objectivity and efficiency.
