Stephanie Helm is the first director of the MassCyberCenter at the Mass Tech Collaborative. A career naval officer, she served a 29-year career as cryptologic/information warfare officer. Prior to joining Mass Tech in 2018, Helm served as a consultant with the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, R.I., providing subject matter expertise in cyberspace, space, and information operations. Her work with the College focused on supporting war gaming efforts to integrate cyberspace operations into plans and operations. As a naval officer, Captain Helm held numerous leadership roles which focused on cyberspace operations and information operations, including as Deputy Division Director, Chief of Naval Operations (N3IO) in Washington, D.C. She served a tour at sea from 2001-2003, as the Deputy J2/J39 for the Commander, Second Fleet/Striking Fleet Atlantic. Captain Helm served as the Commanding Officer of Naval Security Group Activity Norfolk and tours of duty with U.S. Central Command in Tampa, FL, the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, MD, and Naval Security Group commands in California, Italy, and Maine. She received her B.A. from the University of California and her Masters from the U.S. Naval War College.

Steve Long is the President & CEO of Hancock Health / Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana. Prior to joining the Hancock Health family, Steve served in a variety of senior leadership capacities including stints at University of Iowa Healthcare in Iowa City, Iowa; MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas; and Aurora Healthcare based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He began his journey in the health care industry in 1994 when he graduated with an MBA and MHA from the University of Iowa. Steve has been honored to make many presentations at national conferences on the subjects of leadership, patient engagement, population health, and cybercrime and his work on these subjects has been published in several healthcare industry publications as well. He has a special interest in the subject of servant leadership and how these principles can be applied in all situations. Steve and his lovely wife Dorothy live in Greenfield Indiana and enjoy family time with their children and grandchildren.

Mitchell Parker, the moderator, is the CISO of a $6.5B integrated delivery network (IU Health) that runs 16 hospitals and hundreds of clinics, and is responsible for securing the networks that the devices which support them live on. He is also a co-vice chair of IEEE/UL P2933, Trust, Integrity, Privacy, Protection, Safety, and Security for the Internet of Medical Things and contributes to several other industry standard groups.

His past roles include CISO, Director of IT, Vice President & CIO of health systems, and big four advisory services. His past experiences have allowed him to develop multiple information technology & security programs from strategy through project management to successful implementation. Areas of experience include information security, governance, HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and PCI. His broad experience and solid understanding of healthcare operations makes him well qualified to deliver upon complex information security projects in diverse and heavily regulated environments.
