Fostering an Innovative Ecosystem

MARIA ZAGHI has had a 30-year experience in the implementation of projects and entrepreneur efforts related to ICTs in Latin America. She has been the leader for several agendas in Guatemala including the e-guatemala strategy as a member of the Information Committee in the National Science Council, the National E-commerce Committee. She is a professor for Del Valle, Francisco Marroquin, Landívar and Universidad Galileo in Guatemala and in Unah and Unitec in Honduras. She has an MBA degree from the University of Maryland in College Park, with a specialization in MIS and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science.

Abogado y notario. Consultor de temas legislativos y de política pública para distintos organismos nacionales e internacionales como el PNUD, OEA, GIZ, BCIE, Cámaras de empresarios, entre otros. Fue Regidor Municipal en dos periodos y destacó por su gran labor comunitaria y al servicio de los habitantes de la provincia de Cartago.
