Invited Lecture: Teleaudiology Now and for the Future

Access to hearing health care is essential for optimal outcomes in general health and well-being, social participation, quality of life and even economic independence. Persons with hearing loss globally face dire challenges in regard to access and affordability in hearing care. The digital era has brought rapid advances in connected technologies that enable new service-delivery models with the potential to address access and affordability at scale. COVID-19 has further accelerated advancements and reliance on teleaudiology for patient care. This presentation will consider recent trends and future directions in teleaudiology.
