Advanced materials using a metallization process of polymers and their benefits for functional products

Using the plating on plastic technology, Polymertal creates an advanced material with benefits of both materials – low specific weight, fast time and cost production of plastic with desirable strength, electrical conductivity, high thermal resistivity, and conduction the metal.

Polymertal developed its unique chemical process of metal plating on a wide variety of polymers, including low energy plastics like polyolefins and fluoropolymers. Polymertal became an approved and preferred vendor for leading Israeli defense and aerospace companies as Elbit, Rafael, and IAI, for plated on plastic, composite materials, and ceramic applications. Polymertal`s technology advantage is its highest quality, the ability to plate on parts with complex structure, and selective plating.

In the past, metallized polymers were used in decorative applications. Polymertal took this technology to a more functional level, bringing new and improved mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. The R&D of Polymertal invests a lot of efforts in characterising and testing the next generation of metallized combination of polymers and metals.
