We present a case of a 29-day old male newborn, who arrived to our institution two weeks after that he was treated of aseptic meningitis and pyelonephritis with a positive E Coli urine culture; the patient was brought by his parents after noticing lack of movement of his right leg and crying when manipulating, in addition of color change and severe swelling of the whole limp. The necessary tests were done such as laboratory, image and hip punction for cultures with a most probable diagnose of septic arthritis, a hip dislocation was noted in the MRI. The patient underwent urgent surgery for debridement of the joint, an after the extubation an immediate relief was seen with a spontaneous movement of the limb by himself, long term antibiotics were continued to his treatment
