Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is a group of inflammatory demyelinating disorders, predominantly affecting the optic nerves and spinal cord. A variety of CNS manifestations of COVID-19 infections has been reported and it has been stated that viral infections can take part in the development of inflammatory demyelinating diseases, including MOGAD. Here we report, a case of optic neuritis (ON) and longitudinally extensive myelitis associated with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody in 24-year-old male four months after infection by COVID-19. This case highlights a possible causal association between inflammation due to COVID-19 and activation of MOG-IgG associated disease.
