Can One Choose to Believe? A Response to Prof. Yehuda Gelman’s View of the Ontological Status of Religious Truth Statements

Monotheistic religions generally castigate doubters of elemental religious dogma. In today`s lecture I will examine the coherence and epistemic justification of this stance in light of Prof. Yehudah Gelman`s defense of traditional Jewish theology and in light of rival views of divine immanence engendered by allegorical interpretations to the doctrine of Tzimtzum.
