Rabbi Jonathan Eibeschuetz and the Art of Lying.

This paper shall examine the attitude of Rabbi Jonathan Eibeschuetz to lie and dissimulation. I shall juxtapose testimonies about Eibeschuetz with his own writings. Particular attention will be paid to his utterances in which he - ostensibly - vigorously deny any entanglements in the Sabbatian heresy.
