Separation of Conjoined Craniopagus Twins for the First Time in Israel

in August 2020, a pair of conjoined craniopagus twins were born in Soroka university Medical Center for the first time in Israel.

after thorough investigation which included cuting edge technology in imaging, 3D printing of models and VR simulation of their condition, in September 2021 the twins were separated successfully in an operation which lasted for 12 hours by our multidisciplinary team from Soroka Medical center.

As the head of this multidisciplinary team, I will be delighted to present this amazing work done by our team for the first time in Israel.
