The Book of Abraham, called the "Book of Creation"

author.DisplayName

The Book of Abraham, called the Book of Creation, is one of the most influential writings of the mystical-Gnostic sense in the history of world thought. This work, written in Hebrew, claims to reveal the essential elements of cosmogenesis and anthropogenesis, to discover the deep foundations of the universe, to describe the fundamental principles of the functioning of the Universe and man. The Sefer Yetzira is a commentary on the first chapter of Genesis and is the central work of the Jewish esoteric cosmogonic tradition. The universe in all its spiritual and material fullness appears in Sefer Yetzira as an interconnected and interdependent whole.
The Book of Creation considers the process of creation of the universe by "thirty-two wonderful ways of Wisdom", which are ten sephiroth-"numbers" without anything and twenty-two letters of the foundation - twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet; these entities turn out to be the deep foundations, principles and primary elements of the universe. Ultimately, the world is based on a prime number and a letter.
