This study offers an overview of an interdisciplinare approace in language teaching and learning. The theme of the project aimed to develop student`s intellectual curiosity, taste for culture, and pleasure in language learning. The activity aimed to determine today`s students, so deepened into gadgets reality, to taste the pleasure of discovering culture differently, as an active part of their life and as a way to express emotions and opinios based on the situations offered by the discussed topics.
The element of modernity in using such a strategy is the cross-curricular dimension. For each of the chosen activities, the students investigated real universes, which they resized them for the needs of understanding the cultural approach. The interest in the topics was aroused by merging several activities from different areas such as geography, history, literature, art and music.
The motivation for such a learning project derived from their need for interpersonal communication, and the desire to work in a team. Thus, the target group is offered an exercise of adaptation and integration in a competitive society, in which team spirit and torelance are human quallities that would be fully valued.
The skills developed in such an activity, team spirit, assertive communication for the joy of language learning, activated both the cognitive and emotional resources of the individual in order to mind mapping the right cultural context. The students improved the language acquisition because they were able to deconstruct better the meaning and to find proper contextual words to create the content.
Therefore, the interdisciplinary approach to develop their abilities in dealing with everyday situations improved their cultural and language skills and the learning process was fruitful and enjoyable.
