ABSTRACT: The present study explores some of the current issues in nowadays teaching, such as, how undergraduate students perceive online teaching of English imposed by the worldwide pandemic circumstances, and, whether their attitudes can be measured through needs analysis in order to be used as a booster for language studying engagement. The study compares the attitudes of two groups of students, Israeli and Romanian, who studied EPIC and ESP courses online during 2021. The results will be interpreted in the light of the similarities between their likes and dislikes and the analysis of whether those preferences can be organized in a pattern of good online linguistic practices to be applied and used by language teachers in any synchronous ESP or EPIC meetings.
