Uncertain times call for uncertain measures. Sounds counter-intuitive? Well, think again, or maybe instead of thinking let’s try to play it by ear. I mean it: Let’s try to make it into a game that truly relies on our bodies. This is an invitation to listen with our whole beings to that which calls our attention and use the most basic rule in the improvisational theatre rule-book: saying “yes and” to everything that comes. By so doing we will explore our listening, writing and communication skills when these emerge from a space of deep connection to our bodies and breath.
I invite us to lean into the uncertainty rather than attempt to stabilize it. I expect this to be a turbulent yet exciting journey.
This 30-minute workshop draws on Focusing, Somatic Experience Learning and Body Stress Release techniques. Using tools from diverse embodied disciplines will help us tap into our intuitive, playful, and creative selves to increase our resilience in the face of adversity.
The workshop will include a hands on demonstration and a conversation about how embodied learning strategies can be adopted and used in higher education classroom settings.

* We will use some movement - you`re invited to wear something that makes movement easy and fun
* We will engage in a writing + doodling exercise - participants are welcome to prepare a notebook / piece of paper and a pen + crayons
