The process of protein purification is often regarded as an art, from choosing the right chromatography columns, through calibrating the optimal binding and elution conditions and methods. These are all crucial steps that have a direct effect on the desired outcome – an authentic, pure, and active protein. Magnetic bead purification methods are widespread “bind-wash-elute” process application. In compression with other existing techniques, the magnetic separation not only bypasses time consuming centrifugation or vacuum required steps, but it also allows a better efficient purification and protein yields. Moreover, magnetic beads are more adaptable to high-throughput processing. Anti-tag antibodies are being used to optimize the detection and purification of the specific tagged proteins expressed in bacterial and/or mammalian cells. We have developed Anti-tag magnetic beads prepared with high affinity purified anti-tag antibody. Some of the products are: ExtrAvidin® magnetic beads (E2645), Anti HA Magnetic Beads (SAE0197), Anti-C-myc magnetic beads (SAE0201) and Anti-V5 Magnetic Beads (SAE0203). These products provide provide high affinity with high specificity tool to capture-tagged proteins and may be used in various immunological techniques, including immunoprecipitation (IP) and immunoaffinity protein purification.
