The clinical-therapeutic training of the phonoaudiologist graduated from PUC-SP - Brazil
Introduction: The field of action of the phonoaudiologist goes beyond the clinic, but clinical-therapeutic practice is considered a basic axis of professional training. The clinic is made in experience in the immediate knowledge of what happens. Objective: to report and analyze, from the perspective of internship supervisors, the training of undergraduate students of a Phonoaudiogic program. Methodology: experience report of supervisors of the Supervised Internship in Phonoaudiogic program at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUCSP), Brazil. The internship is carried out at a Specialized Center for Rehabilitation (SCR), which is part of the Health Care Network of the Unified Health System (SUS) in Brazil. Each supervision group is composed of six/eight students, two hours/week for the consultations and their developments and three hours for supervision. Results: The insertion of the student in the SCR favors a broad clinical view based on the biopsychosocial model, providing reflection on possibilities and barriers in different dimensions of life and contemplation of the health needs of the subjects assisted. Students are summoned to understand the demands of these subjects and/or family members, in order to make the therapeutic process potentially transformative of their lives. The therapist's training takes place through dialogue, between supervisor, group colleagues and other disciplines of the course. It is an individual and group process of reflection on the students' experiences in conducting clinical-therapeutic work, involving theory and practice and the interns' reflection on their experience and their understanding of the case, so that they can structure their work autonomously, in collaboration with the other interns. Conclusion: the internship enables mobilizing experiences for the construction of knowledge and practices that give the student identity with their field of professional activity and the possibility of learning to interact with other professionals in the service or integrated into a larger network, learning to integrate with these multiprofessional teams and participate in interdisciplinary discussions, which contribute to a broader understanding of the problems they commonly face in this type of care.
