Course system for teaching abdominal ultrasound in germany is traditional, high priced and inflexible. According to this DEGUM is now developing a brand-new concept that will start during the end of 2014 latest in summer 2015.
Despite of this the surgical section of DEGUM started in cooperation with HELIOS academy and HELIOS hospital Sangerhausen a preliminary project modifying courses following the guidelines of EFSUMB.
we will demonstrate the curriculum, course concept and the acknowledgments after 3 base and 1 advanced course. One of our courses was didactically accompanied and experiences and data are shown.
We think our approach is innovative and considers new aspects of theoretical learning. Data shows a highly acceptance and convenience inbetween the participants. We hope that our experience can influence the development of course system in modern times in Germany and other countries around europe.
