Cardiology, Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem
We present the preliminary investigation of a large 23 year (recruits from 1988-2011 and Birth Years from 1969-1994) cohort (113,460 from one geographical area of Israel) of army recruits between the ages of 16 and 19. We present the prevalence of the following: Any Cardiac Finding / History of Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF) / all those with any diagnosis including Preexcitation on an ECG (WPW type ECG) / and History of Kawasaki Disease. The presentation includes trends over the years of the data set. The ARF and WPW data are divided into 4 separate year groupings and the Kawasaki data are presented as the last 7 years of the data set, and by birth date, as there was no diagnosis of Kawasaki before the recruit year 2005. Further updated data will be presented as the investigation is ongoing and active.
