Early Presenters STEMI Patients: primary PCI or fibrinolysis?

Some studies showed similar results or even advantage of thrombolytic therapy (TT) compared to primary PCI (PrPCI) in STEMI pts treated within 2-3 hours of symptom onset.
We included 326 consecutive STEMI pts admitted to ICCU during 2006-2009 within 3 hours of symptom onset who were treated with TT (n=82) or PrPCI (n=244). Exclusion criteria: Killip 3 or 4, out-off-hospital CPR, uncertain timing of symptoms. Primary end point: 30-day mortality. Secondary outcomes:  mortality at 1 year, at maximal FU, in-hospital CVA, major bleeds, urgent PCI, CABG during index hospitalization, LVEF at dicharge.  Kaplan-Meier curves and log rank test were used for statistical anlysis.
