Background: In preeclampsia different clinical syndromes can be evaluated, as we demonstrated previously. Furthermore,  we confirmed involment of genetics in the ethiology of this disease. Numerous ethiology factors and multiorgan damage  in preeclampsia are considered. The role of ultrasound, esspecially Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis and prevention of this heterogenous mainly vascular disease is.

Aim: To search for vessel system function in  various  clinical syndromes of preeclampsia.

Methods: We evaluatred Doppler flow indices value of A.umbilicalis and A.uterina related to severity and variety of the disease.

Results and Conclusions: In cases of mild and severe preeclampsia, fetal syndrome, metabolic syndrome and HELLP syndrome of  preeclampsia, as well as eclampsia, there is no exact correlation of measured Doppler flow  velocity parameters with the clinical course of  preeclampsia. Further Doppler flowmetry  studies in different vessels by various courses of preeclampsia are needed. Because of  individual variability in ethiology and clinical course, personalised therapeutic and diagnostic approach in preecampsia is a challenge.
