We present a series of six patients from the last two years ' who underwent ultrasound as the first imaging examination for different complaints .
Gray scale ultrasound revealed apparently cystic findings in different locations ( kidney , spleen , nearby bladder ,beside transplanted kidney).When color Doppler was activated ,all these " innocent " cysts turned out to be vascular - aneurysms or pseudoaneurysms- one of them was life threatening .
We conclude that using color Doppler in any ultrasound examination , even in so - called "innocent" cysts , is a handy , cheap and time saving tool , which brings upon a meaningful turn in diagnosis and changes the follow- up and the outcome of the patient .
